- When the user clicks the link included in the email to move to the bank site, it really links to the fake URL.
- When the user enters personal banking information, the phony website records the information on a sever or send it onto a hacker’s email.

Security Advice for Customers
- To protect your personal information, Citibank Korea never requests your account number, PIN, account balance, card number or credit card CVV number via email. Do not reply if you receive a suspicious email, and report it to Citiphone, Citibank’s call center, immediately.
